Wonderful evening last night. Really good quality beers, particularly enjoyed the Type 42 and the Wild. Brilliant. Thank-you.

Congratulations Mark and Donna. The entry into the 2009 Good Beer Guide and the launch of it from The Queens tonight reflects the amount of hard work that you put in to selecting a wide variety of beers and keeping them in excellent condition. Well done guys. Here's to many more years of your good drinking environment.

Went to this pub on Saturday night having been recommended it by two friends. Must confess to having a difficult choice, my favourite cider, Old Rosie, and some excellent ales. The bar man recommended a pint for me, it was terrific my friend drank mild also an excellent pint. We ordered food and the service was great and the food good value for money but more than that it was delicious. I can thoroughly recommend the Cumberland Sausage toad.

Enjoyable evening.

The Filo (First In Last Out), Hastings

briliant pub, lovely beer, staff friendly and they know their stuff

re 3 mar post... beer brewed on premises so you probably smelt the hops n mash.. the head brewer is a cider drinker by choice so as he brews the beer well done him especially as he invented the Gold

we live 120 miles away and are still treated as locals when we go into the pub

that fire is wonderful on a cold winters day even if the stones does get your beer a tad warm

I enjoy working in this pub. The ethos is to make everyone, regular and new visitor, welcome. Donna and Mark have very high standards. It is a pleasure to work for them and with them to endeavour to create a "real pub" atmosphere where all our customers can enjoy their visit. Sometimes it is too busy to be sociable with everyone but we try very hard to make you all feel valued as customers. It is a fantastic or should I say funtastic pub to work in and that is in part because of the variety of customers but also because I feel very much part of the team. If you visit I hope you have a very good time I will do my best to make sure you do.
