Went in to watch the footie on saturday and the place was packed, loads of atmosphere, every one having a good time and enjoying themselves. Unusually, once the football was over, every one stayed and we ended up having a good night too although I can't seem to remember too much about it :D
Thoroughly recommended.

Pub seemed to be closed when I went past yesterday, all locked up and no lights on, has saddo left it then ?

According to the posters up, the Queens will re-open this Friday (12th December). Good luck to the new owners !

Still closed, no idea what's happening with this place but it could be a great little pub if someone put some thought into it.

I agree with Suzanne, I only live down the road but I won't set foot in the place mainly due to the ahole that runs it. He swans around like some sort of sad little east end gangster and he does the same in the pub round the corner that he owns, the Nags Head. As for the barmaids, they are appalling, they do realise that they're there to SERVE customers don't they ?

Nice pub, could do with a refurb and I've heard that one is due in the new year. Staff friendly and polite, beer well kept and good company, didn't try the food but what I saw looked good.

There's a note on the door that says the pub has just been taken over and will re-open in two weeks time. Looking forward to it as it should be a cracking little boozer. Hope they keep that mad dj they used to have on a Friday night. I'll reserve reviewing it until it re-opens.

Huge refurbishment just completed and has totally changed the look and feel of this once down in the dumps local boozer. It looks great, had some nice real ales on tap and the staff gave great service.
