Met the new landlord Guy and some of the regulars - a very friendly local & well worth a visit

went in on a Tuesday night - not the busiest but nice atmosphere. This is a comfortable bar - leather sofas, lots of dark wood. Upmarket/trendy feel about the place
Food was great (burgers really good as are the chips)
London Pride not the cheapest and the only option but tasted good. After all its not really a boozer

This pub is spot on - drank the Doom Bar which was excellent
Busy night & good atmosphere - watched the foootball in the back area where they were serving thai food. Didnt try but looked good
If you are looking for somewhere near Waterloo then this is the place - proper pub

The Blacksmiths Arms, St Albans
As the recent reviews state - this is a much changed place
Great selection of real ales, interior re-furbished and a nice garden. Food is basic but Ok
Fine if you are looking for a pint in the city centre - shows sport as well

Very friendly, clean and well run pub
2 real ales on which were very good - Lancaster Bomber in particular
Excellent place to watch sport and enjoy a pint - I think they are about to offer food as well

The Portland Arms, St Albans
Great to see this pub back to where it should be - redecorated, busy and with a friendly experienced landlord
The London Pride was in good order and the landlord said food will be available within a week. Chef in place and the menu sounds good
Look forward to my next visit - the Portland is a quality local pub once again
