Nonsmoking which is a plus for some and the wine is good if that's your bag and they've tried to make it cosier recently with a few lamps and a bit of chintz, still too cavernous for me though.

Subject to a refit about a year or so ago where amazingly what little character it possessed was white washed away. I'm afraid if you're going to give a pub a make over into a trendy wine bar a couple of trips to Ikea and fresh cut flowers (carnations from the garage) just wont cut the mustard.

This pub is absolutely rubbish, it smells has filthy toilets and the food looks like it's been grown on a petri dish. Avoid like the plague (which is currently being cultured on the filthy glasses) shame as the building is a winner and the place could be great. PS if you want to watch football stay at home or buy a ticket to a match instead of ruining everybody else afternoon.

If you like the idea of paying for heartburn then you really must eat here, as for the beer most varieties of gassy pish are available. Like a Weatherspoon's but with a less intellectual clientelle!
