| Run by a friend of mine (she also runs the Assembly Inn for Bath Ales) and it is now a very friendly, snug little boozer. Gets busy easily owing to the size of the pub, but great beer (Otley 01 is a cracking beer from over the border in Wales and Bellringer is a perennial favourite). If you like cider, have a crack at the Hells Bells cask stuff, but be warned - it's lethally strong and not for the faint hearted! captainflymo - 27 Jan 2010 21:40 |

| Visited during last week while my wife was doing some serious shopping. I had not been in this pub for some months, and it is much much better than on my last visit - when it had appeared to have gone down a rather "let's see how many swearing unpleasant customers we can get in" route. This time I had nice conversation with a few locals (Nice to have met you Ken), and the girl behind the bar was welcoming and efficient - a pleasant change after my rather unfortunate experience in Old Green Tree.
