Seems this pub is turning into a Poker Pub with 2 tournaments weekly now and the tournaments take place in the restaurant meaning in excess of 6 tables are taken out of service for people wanting a bite to eat in nfavour of a few people that could play basically anywhere else (particularly the "games area").
The food is generally good but when you have someone standing over you while you are eating, hurrying you up so they can set up the Poker game, i have to say it's slightly off putting.
When will the owners of this establishment refurbish it so it benefits the local community and families as a whole??

Who are Ken & Lea?? Never heard of them and posted my review purely down to the awful service we experienced at this establishment.
Don't know if it's still open for business but would certainly be surprised if it was.

Giving this place a rating of 1 is generous.
For this place to carry the name of "Beefeater" is embarrassing. Staff carry a "couldn't care less attitude" you could have to queue up for upto 10 minutes for a drink as one person serves the bar (whatever time of day), the bar menu is so basic and the beer garden is just filthy.
Great potential but just being run into the ground with high prices but lousy service.

Just a real shame about this pub, got huge potential but just being run into the ground by the present owners. I can only assume also that they want to turn it into a private house rather than have it as a business.
Went there recently and on a Friday evening at 10pm there was only 1 other person in there, says it all in my opinion. Seemed a real inconvenience us being there.

Well and truly open and had a great beer in here at the weekend listening to a good duo unfortunately spoilt by a chubby kid playing guitar :(
