The Three Horseshoes, Cranleigh

An excellent little place.

The beer garden is very well kept and private. There are ales and the prices are reasonable for this part of the world.

Friendly staff, although it has that "local pub for local people" feeling about it.

The Richard Onslow, Cranleigh

Possibly the worst pub I have ever been to. No joke.
Although the staff seemed to be friendly enough, the pub felt dirty and cheap.
If you're a tony and guy person, who likes to play pool, watch football and look how TopShop tell you to, then this is the place for you.

I wouldn't return.

The Parrot, Canterbury

Possibly the best pub I've ever been to.

Excellent range of beer and ale, but what is really fantastic about this pub is the beer garden for the summer, and the open fire for the winter. An excellent beer garden, secluded and somewhat magical.

The live music is always good value, with jazz and folk on offer. The food is veritable, although not cheap.

An incredible find, and certainly worth discovering.

Go there!

The Lion Brewery, Ash

The Lion brewery has been around for some time. Originally the pub had a slaughter house out the back, where they would serve freshly cooked meat and beer. That was it, Meat and Beer.
The surrouding area of the pub was all hops, and therefore the Lion made its beer from the surrounding Hops.

Since then, the pub has had a slight refurbishment, and its current landlord Mike has made it into a wonderful pub where the locals are friendly, the range of live music is excellent and it has a feel of old school england.

They do a lot of work for charity, and are a pillar in the community.

The selection of Ales isn't bad, and the age range is surprising. Go there, and enjoy it. The real pubs like this are dying out.

The Hole In The Wall, Waterloo

Unique place, with friendly staff and a good selection on offer. Has Leffe and Hoegaarden (I myself am not an Ale drinker, so I won't comment on those).

The back room is a bit odd, has a disjointed feel to it compared to the front bar, and can feel a bit "youth centre". The toilets aren't great, but if you ignore them (and its easy to do so), the experience is good.

What with the overhead train line, you won't find too many pubs like this one. A good atmosphere and a nice relaxed place. Go there!

The Kings Head, Tooting

This pub is excellent. It may not be the best looking pub, but the food was excellent.

The hamburger with cheese and bacon is a must! Only beaten by a burger on Lots Road.

The selection of beers and ales isn't amazing, -- but its got a good atomosphere, friendly staff. Its a big big place with several different areas. I enjoyed it and would go again.
