The Red Lion, Hamworthy

First of all- I am offended by John - I grew up on Turlin Moor and believe me I'm in no way a layabout or anything else! Also the Double Six closed more than a few years ago from 2003 - Try early 90's! Right got that off my chest! lol The Red Lion I have found always to have a nice mix or young and old. The food (which I go in for) is very nice and well priced. I went there once for New Years Eve - and had a great night of fun! I would say a welcoming average pub.

Darbys Corner Inn, Broadstone

Not what it used to be at all. I know that not everyone is going to like a re-fit and a complete change - but it seems it is getting more quiet by the week. Shame as it's it very nice well kept public house.

The Haymoor, Canford Heath

Since the makeover - I'd advise anyone looking for a nice and well priced meal to go here. It's very busy on a Fri, Sat night and Sunday lunch times. Some nice bar staff - The food was lovely!

The Lord Nelson, Poole

I think the "Chav Arms" is very harsh. Whilst I agree it could be so much more - with a great spot on the front of the quay, the live bands are quite good. I Often go there to see a band and enjoy the atmosphere. If you are looking for something like that with no 16-19 year olds, then this is the place to go!
