Poor service, not very clean, but reasonable food at excellent prices. Great for a cheap quick lunch for a fiver... not a lot else.

I'm so glad I found this place. Friendly, welcoming, and the best food I've had for years. Top quality ingredients expertly prepared and extremely tasty. Great value for money too. I look forward to my next visit, as the Chequers really has something special to offer.

On the few occasions I have come here it has felt like a bit of a locals pub. It's never appeared to be the friendliest of places, but I may be wrong about this. It has a nice garden for the summer months so I will pop back then.
A million times better than the Star at Roffey, and definitely worthy of another visit.

The Wheatsheaf, Plummers Plain
Nice friendly pub with good food. Great garden makes it perfect for the summer.

The Cross Keys, Covent Garden
I stopped here for lunch whilst on a training course nearby, and was pleasantly surprised. Good beer, superb sandwiches, and excellent service. A London pub as it should be.
