The Swan In The Rushes, Loughborough

Great pub, great beer (on the whole!). I've had a couple of 'bottom of the barrel' pints but usually the ale is on top form. Food also good.

I'd ignore stamford_drinkers review below, as he's obviously talking about the Swan and Rushes in Leicester!! To pop from the Loughborough pub to the Criterion (isnt a Criterion in Loughborough) would take over half an hour by car!!

The Anchor Inn, Hathern

Friendlay staff, great food, lovely beer garden so perfect for the summer. Beer sometimes lets it down, i stay clear of tiger or pedigree. i think the problem may be they're not drank enough so worsen over time as opposed to line cleaning issues!! so a guest ale is always spot on!!

The Hobgoblin, Loughborough

I agree, Hobgoblin is one of my favourite beers, and Wychwood a great brewery, so if no Hobgoblin at least there should be some Goliath or something. Went in in December had a pint of Cains IPA which made me physically ill, wouldnt recommend this place. Saying that, I went in with a student friend and he got us 20% discount, so that made it slightly better!!

The Moon And Bell, Loughborough

Good beer and food, staff are good, could do with a bigger bar though, takes ages to get served!

Sloanes, Leicester

Best Ale pub in Leicester by a mile, and Id be hard pushed to name a better one anywhere else in the UK (or abroad for that matter!). With up to 12 different ales, there's always something for everyone, and I've never been disappointed. Would recommend to anyone and everyone!!
