Happy Days... Two cracking beers on last visit; 'Titanic Black ice' a well hopped beer.. although a contradiction, almost a black IPA.. Then a real treat 'Exmoor Beast' a rich, complex and heady brew, and a real beast @ 6.6%.

A decent Wetherspoon with well-kept ale. 7/10.

Another fantastic Real ale festival going on as I post this... Runs 13th - 29th March 2015. Set up in a marquee in the garden. We sampled around 5 beers, with the two memorable ones being Rudgate Milk Stout (4.2% abv) and a really heft pale ale originally from South Africa (brewed as a guest by Batemans) Shongweni Durban Pale ale (5.7% abv). Get down there!

Just tasted ‘Devils Backbone American IPA,’ a draft rather than cask ale served chilled... The die hard real ale lovers may not like it, but it's a really nice pint...

Another great beer!!! Jack D’Or or Saison Americain... Lovely hoppy beer @
6.5 abv - very bitter... When I tried this on a Tuesday night in November 2013 every table was occupied... Don't fancy some of the other town center pubs chances, but hard to argue with beer this good at this price.
