The Rainbow, Middle Assendon

Super pub worth the drive to get there if your not local. I am biased as I know the landlord but the beer is always good and your well looked after.

The Crooked Billet, Stoke Row

This place lives on its old reputation and the fact it is owned by the chef at London Stree Brasserie in Reading. But it is expensive, slow and the beer is not that well kept. Kate Winslett had her wedding reception there once..

The Black Horse, Emmer Green

A prober boozer.. good beer and usually a friendly bunch. Locally called "Lloyds Bank" to confuse the missus!

Crown Inn, Playhatch

Good food, but like others have said, expensive. It is more of a restaurant really and not somewhere you would just go for a drink.

Baron Cadogan, Caversham

Typical of the chain, but still clean and good priced ales. Worth drinking in if your in Caversham but not sure I would go out of my way to drink there.

The Griffin, Caversham

Crowded with families but hey.. we all have the right to go out! Otherwise allways had a good meal from the very extensive menu and no real complaints.

Sahara, Reading

Cool bar, for the older crowd. Always a good vibe and downstairs has plenty of room to sit and talk.

The Foresters Arms, Reading

Changed hands three times in two years now. Its one of the more expensive pubs to drink in and the new owners are trying to improve things with BBQ's etc.

The Rose and Thistle, Reading

The pub has just had a refurb so interesting to see how it is now. The smoking ban has certainly made it a much more pleasant pub to drink in as it used to have major issues with smoke. It has stopped showing football from non-UK satellite stations but Sky Sports will still be shown. Nice garden if we ever get a summer!
