Bibendum, Eastbourne

looks liek a wine bar at first sight but when you work out that their wine is actually awful you realise it is actually just a drinking hole that people of all ages use to avoid the chav bars in town.

they need to sort out the bar area as people just stand there and block everyone else from getting through.

The Garland, Redhill

without a doubt one of the best pubs in the area. always good beer, can be a bit clicky though.

The Garibaldi, Redhill

has gone downhill since the landlord changed. the beer prior to that was good but was always really warm! it was explained that the owner wouldnt repair the cellar door! unbelievable really.

last time I went in even the lager was undrinkable. shame.

The Flying Scud, Redhill

they need to keep the beer better than they do know but its not a bad little place to go.

The Old Chestnut, Earlswood

it still cant shake the violent nutters so worth avoiding on Fri/Sat nights

the food is excellent and with really friendly staff you cant beat this as a local or just pop-in.

The Plough, Earlswood

The Plough has been extremely well manage for years and years..... until that is Mike left in December. Since then the extensive closure of the pub followed by a decorating disaster of biblical proportions has resulted in a pub with no character, no decent beer and as a result no customers.

How you take a successful busy pub and turn it into this is a mystery and all we can hope for is that a new landlord takes over that knows how to run a pub and not just serve sandwiches.
