The Crown and Greyhound, Dulwich

Come on, let's be fair. The basin unit that Mannering mentioned has just been repaired. The repair consists of a plastic tray taped over the basin.Basin closed, Job done!!! I wish one could upload photos on this site.

Can only echo Mannering's thoughtful remarks. I feel sure that the toilet facilities are insufficient. Does anyone know if there are guidelines or possibly regulations covering toilet facilities in public houses. The disabled facilities are actually outside the pub and accessed through the garden. The owners of this pub are making a fortune but have never spent a penny on the toilets, prefering to waste money on sofas and the like.

You're lucky Louise, he never lowers the music when I ask him, that's why we are trying to get people to complain about it. At weekends it's quite unbearable.

It's 7-15 and I am about to pop down to the Dog. I'll let you know the score with regard to the music later.

Hi, I must own up to being the trombone player. I usually play for Papa George's band but the music is more blues with vocals. However should you wish to find out more let me know. By the way, with regards to the piped music in the pub, I realise that there are people that "don't have a problem with it", although they may find it "a bit repetitive". My suggestion was to confine it one area of the pub perhaps the main bar. With regard to your idea of a small jazz band, what have you in mind for a venue as I don't think the Greyhound has a licence for something as wonderful as live as opposed to dead music.

For years, this pub was noted for the absence of music. This was appreciated by many. Now that piped music has arrived, would it be possible to confine the speakers to the main bar thereby giving some sanctuary to those that just want to enjoy the wonderful real ales and quiet conversation.I feel sure the technology must be available.
