The Queens Hotel, Crouch End

This pub is horrible. I had the misfortune to need to wait for someone in Crouch End so thought I would wait in here. The barman was downright rude and refused to make eye contact - I think someone else mentioned this below. He only spoke once and was sullen and miserable. Also the place was full of media types and wannabes who can't really afford to live in Crouch End so sit in the pub for hours nursing a small glass of Leffe. The place was full of t*ssers and I was very glad to leave. Another person who won't be returning.

The Alfred Herring, Palmers Green

I have to say the manager works very hard but I don't know if he has the right style for the place. I think he needs to be tougher and turf out all the freeloaders who sit in the comfiest seats nursing a half for 4 hours when people who are prepared to spend real money can't find a table.

Probably the worst pub I have ever visited. Very dirty.

Three Compasses, Hornsey

This is my favourite pub in the area. I used to live a few doors away but have sadly have to move further away. It is always clean, staff are friendly, good juke box (though pricey) and a good wine list. What more could you want?

Would definitely recommend.
