The Bridge Inn, Shoreham by Sea

Finally got a response from the brewery. A bit evasive - not a managed house so not their problem !

Spoke to people who have visited at lunchtime recently - still no improvement in attitude, efficiency or knowledge of bar staff. Recommend the Crown and Anchor (just along the High Street) as a suitable alternative - nice terrace overlooking harbour, good food, staff who know what planet they're on.

The Bridge Inn, Shoreham by Sea

Complained to brewery about attitude of staff. They couldn't be bothered to reply, let alone take action to improve situation. Suggest voting with your feet as there are other pubs in Shoreham overlooking river that have friendly and efficient staff, good food and beer.

The Bridge Inn, Shoreham by Sea

Lovely riverside pub with great beer and good selection of food.

TOTALLY SPOILED by barstaff who act as if they have recently woken from a coma and have no idea where they are (and have never been in a pub before !).

The Royal Oak, East Wittering

Visited on a sunny afternoon. Staff friendly, food great (try the 1lb Royal Burger or Triple Cheese Ploughmans (with about 1lb of assorted cheeses)).
Good play area for kids - far enough from decking area that you can't hear the howls of pain as they fall off the swings ! Beer OK but a bit cloudy. Recommend for a quick family lunch before hitting the beach.

The Marquis Of Granby, Sompting

Friendly welcome by Ex-eastenders (the place not the TV programme). Good beer, excellent food, footy on TV, pool table, pinball machine, garden for kids.
