things have not got any better - took another chance on it last night and wish i hadn't! my own fault i know.
only that fat bully tom could ruin a pub when it is the only one in the area!!
do yourself a favour and avoid!

horrible pub run by two big aggressive, rude irishmen. i understand they also have the cherry trees so at least they are consistent in running terrible pubs
i would rather drink toilet duck in a crackhouse than frequent this dive again

AWFUL !!
The two Albanians running the pub will no doubt be able to 'offer you plenty of things', and did on my visit, but unfortunately a decent pint is not on their menu here.
For some reason the men seem to go into the toilet cubicles together and there must also be an awful cold or flu going around in the area as there were a lot of runny noses...
The pub was dirty as were the glasses
All in all a pub I would not wish on my worst enemy!!

If you only do one thing this year... AVOID THIS PLACE!
Tom the landlord is a big bully who will either overpower you to his liking or ask you to leave.
I understand him and his sidekick Mick have other pubs including the Portmanor. What surprise that both pubs are equally awful with similary awful expensive beer, a policy of at least two guys at a time in the cubicles and an aggressive clientele (well, they say a dog takes after its owner...).
Yes there is new management in there - probably for a month or so until they go the way of all the others and get sick of being bullied by Tom and Mick for a pittance.
Either go and visit the Jolly Sailor or go and drink in the local park with the hoodies - you have less chance of being abused or assaulted by the hoodies!

If you fancy a fight with local chavs then check this out. Even better if you like poor quality overpriced beer and food thrown in to the bargain. Although the food is all lovingly prepared with their rat of a dog being allowed access all areas in the kitchen (and bar and cellar).
Overpriced poor quality beer leads the way here.
A rather miserable, loud, 'rotund' couple of Irish landlord and landlady really set this place off with their equally rude and loud friends normally being blind drunk betting continually on horse racing.
I can only assume other reviews were posted by their friends.
AVOID!! A real argument for lifeless themed chain pubs this one

pikey pub being taken over by two fat pikeys so will only get worse.
read whyteleafe tavern reviews and portmanor (se25) and cherry trees (se25) to see what these two fat clowns will do to this pub when they take over!
