Tried this pub on a sunday due to the positive food reviews and was disappointed as the pub is far too small to accommodate diners and drinkers. Ordering food from the bar rather than table service is a nightmare due to the very few bar staff and food is typical average pub grub. The pub is nothing special apart from the trendy modern interior and mismatched rickety old tables and chairs. shooter - 31 Oct 2011 12:26
A pub that would sit well in Chelsea, a wide variety of real ales ( six),the staff are ! on the ball" and a decent beer garden. The prices are £3.50 plus but that means that the less savoury types go elsewhere. It is obviously seen as a safe and clean place as there were a few toddlers in the garden. The beer quality was "spot on", in my opinion the beer temperature was perfect unlike the Hope which was just a tad too warm.Well worth a visit especially during summer.9/10 slerpy - 17 Oct 2011 09:42
This was my local back in the 1970s & 80s. It was a great pub then & good to know it still is! Dan137 - 17 Aug 2011 21:54
Had a meal in there on Sunday with my family. Really, really good food, great quality and service. The Sun blows the Greyhound's microwaved, overpriced slop out of the water. £110 for 4 very nice starters, 4 mains, 2 puddings and 2 bottles of wine. Fantastic value. Tazz1976 - 17 Aug 2011 20:50
Friendly staff and a warm welcome. Didn't fancy any of the ales on so had a Guinness instead, which was fine. Lovely family atmosphere in the garden and the food looked great, though we didn't eat. RamblinDen - 7 Aug 2011 09:42
