The decoration doesn't work somehow and doesn't really make for a good atmosphere. Tried too hard? Still, smarter than average and food tasty if not exceptional.

Perhaps I was lucky but it seemed cosy, friendly and well run to me. Beer well looked after.

Good community pub in residential area with some well kept ales.

I remember this pub from years ago - sadly disappointing now. Whole place is a bit of a mess and needs a good refurb. And don't look too closely at the random electrical wiring everywhere! Staff friendly though. and atmosphere not unpleasant.

Pretty dire. Had to wait god-knows-how-long to get served a pint of almost-undrinkable beer.

Wetherspoons, Victoria Station
Usually busy but otherwise an excellent source of usually well-kept ale if arriving or departing Victoria. Let's face it, not somewhere to spend the evening but a good meeting point, except you end up missing your train!
