The Beehive, Wandsworth

We always pop in here on the crawl from Clapham Junction to Craven Cottage if going up for a match. The ESB and London Pride are always fantastic, the staff are friendly and the place is relaxed.

The Parsons Pig, Worth

Food based pub, large eating areas, with an adjoining motel. Beer is ok, not a great deal of atmosphere, but the food is fairly good quality and value. Out of the way, so is going to be a drive for most people.

The Greyhound, Tinsley Green

This pub is the site for the annual 'World Marbles Championships', held every Easter (Good Friday I think). A bit smokey, and not much in the way of real ales, but a cheap and cheerful place. Food is basic but cheap. Lunchtimes can be busy as within walking distance of City Place and the Industrial Estate.

A couple of fruit machines, pool, quiz machine. Beer garden and plenty of parking. Marbles rink is in the car park.

Goffs Manor, Southgate

Unlike most Pubs in Crawley, this has a large outside seating area. As it is at the top of Goffs Park, it makes a great stopping point for an afternoon or evening stroll. The beer is Hall&Woodhouse, and they don't often have guests, but it is well kept. The menu is pretty varied, but don't have very high expectations. The pub used to be home to Peter Ohm, better known as Peter Vaughan - the actor who played Grouty in Porridge. When he was living there, it was just a house, although it had been a Manor before the New Town was built.
