The White Lion, Soberton

The pub has been shut for a few months but now has a new tenant and is due to open at the end of the month.

Harte and Magpies Pub, Coleshill

Bitterboy, put up or shut up. I'm nothing to do with the management. I await your apology.

I came to this pub in august because the m25 was solid and I needed a detour. I've come back because I liked the food and drink. I've just had a decent plate of venison, some good duff and an excellent pint of cider.

I maintain my previous opinion. Good traditional cider certainly commands a premium - especially given how many orchards in the UK have been grubbed up to play the farm subsidy game.

Harte and Magpies Pub, Coleshill

Just had a cracking pint of cider and good food with it.
Price is high but well worth it given the quality of food and drink.

I'll be back.

It's been my local for a year now and it's still a cracking pub. The beer is good - two local breweries supply the four taps, the cider is good and the food is fantastic.

Plus it won best pub/wine bar in the Portsmouth area.

Seven Stars, Stroud

Many thanks to Kieran and staff for staying open all through last night's snow storm and providing shelter for many of those stuck on the A272 (including my wife). Well done guys.

Guaranteed a good pint - a handful of ales on draught and a proper cider on tap.

The Anglers Retreat, Marsworth

I've never had a bad pint here and there's often a good mild on tap.

The Willoughby Arms, Kingston Upon Thames

For the second week on the trot I've been able to enjoy the rugby with a couple of pints of Old Rosie - and it's been in excellent condition.

Nice one Rick.

George IV, Holborn

Refused to change pints of off Old Hooky despite complaints by several different customers.

Not the pub it used to be.

Good local pub with a couple of good ales and very good food.

The Canbury Arms, Kingston Upon Thames

Well, it's reopened.
Fosters over 3 a pint and moisturiser in the gents.
It's more a restaurant than a pub, I'm off to the Willoughby.
