Closed a few months ago. Another rubbish lee High Road pub. Good riddance.

The Dacre Arms, Lee

Terry the landlord died recently but his daughter Lorraine seems to be keeping up the standards and running it as a top class hidden gem of a pub. My only complaint is the knicky-knacky-noo lamp erected in the middle of the garden and other unnecessary knick knacks she seems to have wasted money on.

The Woodman, Lee

The Woodie has been closed for some months now, and deservedly so. But, as thebrownbottle said, a pub that had once been an excellent boozer and, for me, de rigeur for New Year's Eve. Had long since stopped drinking there but some months before it closed I needed to use their loo. Feeling obliged to buy something, I pointed to the hand pump and asked for a half. 'Sorry, mate, it's off.' As always when faced with no real ale, go for a Guinness. 'Sorry, mate, that's off 'n all.' Ended up with half of John Smiths keg, which was undrinkable and the bulk of it left in the glass.

As I said, pubs like this deserve to die.
