The Shoulder of Mutton, Hartley Wintney

Worth a visit. We had a good value Sunday lunch, with plenty of choices. We sat outside in the busy Garden, but there were plenty of tables inside. The staff were really friendly and efficient. They had 3 beers on, 6X (which I did not try) plus TEA and Hob Goblin - both in good condition.

The Claude Du Vall, Camberley

OK of a lunch time but forget Thurs, Fri, Sat night unless you are 21 or under.
Beer usually OK - but echo previous comments - some guet beers can get past there best.

The Catherine Wheel, Goring

A decent pint of Brakespear's was served.
We eat Sunday lunch, the food was basically good although I do not know why my bangers and mash was served with salad rather than veggies. Service was friendly although the bar tender was unintelligible. It was busy with plenty of locals and walkers. Would I go again? - yes but with lower expectations of the food.

The Cricketers, Bagshot

This is a Beafeater restaurant with a bar at the front. Drinks are average, food not much better - what you expect from a chain restaurant. Service is friendly if disorganised.

Que Pasa, Camberley

Been a couple of times a thursday and Saturday. Expensive drinks, agressive door staff, bar staff that do not know their cocktails. Dissapointing.

The Four Horseshoes, Chobham

I have been to teh 4 horeshoes of few times this year, the last time this week, and it has improved every time. The beer has always been good (6x and crop circle this week) if not outstanding. The welcome has always been friendly, not just the staff but the locals too. What has improved steadily is the food. Like the last reviewer my wife, who is not a big eater likes being offerred smaller portions of mains at a reduced price. I had salmon fishcakes, my wife goats cheese and tomato tart - very nice. You can eat ineither of the two bars or teh restaurant area We will be going back.

Pub, Chilworth

Just had lunch at the Percy Arms, my first time there.
We eat out in the garden, shame that the garden menu is so restricted. My burger was expensive but very tasty and well presented. My colleagues sandwiches were well received and liked the choice of soup or chips to accompany them.

The beer (IPA and Hedgerow)was in excellent condition. Service was good, the place was quiet when we arrived.

I would definitely be happy to go back, nice garden, good beer, not certain I would want to go on a busy, sunny weekend though!

The Coach and Horses, Rotherwick

Went to the Coach and Horses for the first time 2 nights ago. I had a couple of pints of excellent Badger ale, they also had Stinger and Tanglefoot on. There are a couple of rooms at the front as well as the main bar area which makes it feel cozy. The resteraunt area out the back was empty the night I went, and there were a few folk in the simple beer garden out back.

We had dinner and it was basic but tasty pub grub. Not a huge menu, took a little while but was OK. The staff were very friendly and relaxed.

If you are in Rotherwick and want a nice meal, go to The Falcon, but if you want a couple of pints in a friendly pub the C&H fits the bill.

The Inn At West End, West End

Had lunch at the Inn today. The welcome and service were excellent, we eat in the bar area but there is a 'fine dining' section. This establishment is very food centric, but does have a reasonable pint of Fullers and a good size bar area.

The food is excellent but expensive for a pub, though reasonable value. The wine list is too expensive though - the mark up is what you would expect from a top class restaurant rather than a 'pub'. Still, would go back to eat.

The Chequers Inn, Well

I have been to the chequers on about 6 occasions and enjoyed them all. The area under the grapevine is a delight for a summer lunch, and the main bar is very cosy. The beer (Hall & Woodhouse) is usually in good condition and the wine list seems to keep the wife happy.

I think the food is good and reasonable value, the menu has plenty for the fish lover, carnivore and veggies. I have eaten better pub meals, but when combined with the good beer and setting it is one to go back to.

The Falcon, Rotherwick

A decent pint of Doombar or Fullers and friendly service. A good garden at the back if the rain ever stops!

The food is extensive and good - restaurant at the back or you can eat in the bar area. The Falcon has become a favourite, especially as the leather bottle has become a restaurant only.
