The Hollybush Inn, Witney

A trendy (supposedly) pub with prices to match. Not really a pub, more of a wine bar with prices to match.

The New Inn, Witney

Totally lacking in atmosphere. Beer extremely variable( too many and not enough drinkers being the problem)

The Lord Kitchener, Curbridge

in agreement with the last reviewer. good value meals (2 for 6:95 and not just sausage or burgers)or a more extensive menu available.worth a visit. ale could be more adventurous.

The Royal Oak, Witney

just an eaterie. average beer at unforgivable prices. It seems that they are here to provide food. dont sit at a table and have a beer because you may be asked to move for diners. tap water with a meal - you must be joking - if it doesn't cost an arm and a leg you are not welcome

The Old Fox, Eastville

this was the first pub i took my son to. he was 2 years old at the time! i took great delight in telling him it was the old local of dr.w g grace the great cricketer. In the early eighties the old fox was an oasis in a desert of courage and watneys outlets. Thank god for Camra and their successful campaign. My son is now 30 years of age and takes great pride in the fact that he was a patron of something so important. This old pub, overlooking the M32, is now defunct. History shows no remorse. The times and the beers were good. It was noisy, smokey and crowded - the sign of a superb boozer

The House Of Windsor, Witney

one of the few "proper" pubs in town. Always a good selection of ales available( generally 4)and in tip top condition too. made to feel really welcome.
