I had read the comment regarding the earsplitting music levels (below) but I still could not believe how loud it was! Sat on a table near the back in the corner I had a sore throat from yelling at a friend sat just two feet away!
We did enquire as to the possibility of it being turned down a notch but were rudely told 'this is a pub..people come to hear the music'
I never knew there was such a demand for A-ha and other assorted 80's hits amongst the city crowd!
On top of that my pint of Youngs Kew was very poor quality and a friends chips were served cold.

The Fox and Hounds, Bricket Wood
Visited yesterday as part of the Abbey Line 'Rail Ale trail' and enjoyed a well kept pint of Spitfire and a warm welcome from the new landlady (she had only taken over 4 weeks ago) I Recommend that you give the Fox and Hounds a fresh try.

The Rising Sun, Smithfield
A group of friends and I were enjoying a pint at 10.25pm on a friday along with 20 other people in the upstairs bar when we were all told to move downstairs as this area was now closing! This appears to be a regular occurance to give them time to clean up! Obviously the downstairs bar was full and there was nowhere to sit..and they wonder why so many pubs are closing down when customers happy to stay and spend money are treated like this!
We moved 10 yards up the road to the far superior Hand & Shears.
