The Red Lion, Bristol

Good pub - pool table, darts, big patio outdoors for smokers / summer time. Ales well looked after + interesting punters. Cracking addition to the local pubs around my way...

Jack Stamps Beer House, Streatham

The Horns, West Norwood

Its a local pub for me. Could do with some minor cosmetic work to the outside - the brown glazing is shocking and a real off putting factor when applying pub by station * not being able to see inside = elsewhere equation.

Give it a few more beer choices and it could be the finest proper local for miles around - pool table, poker games and cheapish beer all add up to a decent place.

The Florence, Herne Hill

Whats the deal here? I live in West Norwood a place with the real sarf london pubs everyone here seems to think are the kudos locations.. Get real, most of them are awful places that stink, with poor beers, no real ales and rubbish food (often fairly expensive too). The Horns is about the only place worth going in the door of and it could do with a spot of TLC.

I found the Florence a pleasant place to go for a few beers, had a hot dog and some chips to ballast myself and all was good. OK it might not be cheap as the old Jack Stamps in Streatham was, but its not full of old irish blokes that smell of urine...

Ganleys was a hole, ok it had the footy, but it was a desperatly sad old boozer. Maybe some drinks promo's and a big screen for big matches would be nice.

And lastly - get a less acidic cider in please, Aspnalls plays merry hell with me guts after a cider binge.. A scrumpy would be ace ;)

The Commercial, Herne Hill

I do love this pub, a little bit pricey but with good food and nice booze. Addlestones cider on tap and lots of other ales and lagers.

Really friendly staff - Poppy0801, I went on my not stag, stag (long story) with about 12 blokes already steaming drunk and we acted up terribly, swearing, playing games etc etc but the staff only ever told us to wind it in when we stepped over the line and generally looked after us like VIPs!

The Cock, Oxford Circus

Pints of "man in the box" alpine lager at 1995 prices.. Or 1.99 at least. Sam Smiths pub with a wide range of different boozes.. Not one for you if you only drink Smirnoff Ices!

The Ship Inn, Noss Mayo

Cracking place, not exactly a pure pub anymore as the food is almost the main reason to visit... Service is always top class, and the beers are well looked after.

Get a seat outdoors on a hot day for lunch and you'll end up staying for dinner!!!
