The Larrik, Putney Bridge

Don't bother unless it's for the footy then this place comes into it's own. Was there for World Cup last summer and the place was awesome. More atmosphere than the Emirates Stadium but then thats not exactly hard, is it.

The Sun Inn, Barnes

3.6 out of 10 is a little harsh.

Had an all dayer in there last weekend. The Pub itself is lovely, good staff, great selection of beers with Peroni on tap which is always a bonus. It trips itself up on the service which took 45 minutes and they forgot one meal and had to be reminded twice before it appeared. Food was good though and the staff were very apologetic. If you like drinking a little bit too much on a weekend in the sun then this is the place. Eat somewhere else though!

The Mitre, Fulham

Lovely pub, great beer garden with possibly the best pub burger I have ever eaten. And I have eaten a few.

The Kings Head, Earls Court

Probably the best pub in the world.

But stay away from the Potato Wedges if at all possible.

The Chepstow, Bayswater

Really nice place, very friendly service BUT..........

The food was absolutely atrocious. I don't know if it was the chef's night off but it was as if a 2 year old child was cooking the food. Out of a group of 6, 4 plates were sent back. Tuna was horrendously over-cooked and there was an additional ingredient to the steak sandwich that was not listed on the menu...... deep fried mosquito. I'm sure that may be a delicacy in other parts of the world but West London is not one of them.

Service was very nice, apologetic and prompt. I think the promptness was helped by the fact the waiter was Michael Schuhmacher...... or someone that looked very like him.
