Well another pub with a much hyped opening!! Advertised as a pub without pretentions it actually looks more like a wine bar. Beers ok but small and doesn't seem to know what it wants to be.

What a suprise!!! Last time I went in here it was like gods waiting room. Now wooden floors, big old oak tables and leather chesterfields have taken over 4 real ales and a great selection of food. Great pub worth a visit any time!!!

The White Star Tavern, Southampton
Went in this weekend and saw that they now have extended there range of ales, great pint of Tim Taylor Landlord. Good atmosphere, great pint!

What a wonderful ale pub!! Great pint of Bowmans swift one, well kept beer, manager knows what he's talking about. Great to go for a good honest pint.

A strange place, dark and dirty. The staff, mainly poorly trained south americans were chirpy but the pub manager was drunk and down right rude. Poor food, grossly overpriced, 2.65 for a pint of best and its a free house. Give it a big miss!

I was recommended this pub by a friend who went there about 8 years ago. Well, thats abouth the last time it was re decorated! Dirty, shabby and over priced. Staff looked as miserable as the building. Try the Anchor just down the road, much much better.

The Green Man, Winchester
Well, I'm shocked!!!!! What a change. If you want a proper boozer this is it. 4 ales, 2 local brews, out of the cask on the bar, scrumpy ciders, brilliant!!!
Gone are the fruit machines, giant TV screens and pool table, to be replaced with a clean, friedly pub with a charm you don't often get anymore.
I would urge any CAMRA member to visit!!!!!
