swannyman what Roger Brown are you talking about? TSW - 28 Dec 2011 22:36
God, sounds awful, maybe Roger Brown had just visited the loo. swannyman - 28 Sep 2011 16:52
was in here briefly last week, we were considering eating here as all the other pubs were rammed and this one was quiet, should have known better, the last review said they clean the pipes on a Wednesday, well I can only assume it's the last Wednesday in April because my pint of Hobgoblin was awful, my wifes visit to the loo left her heaving so we left rather quickly, this was easily the worst pub we visited in the area, and probably why this pub was so empty while all the others were heaving vinnnie - 16 Aug 2011 13:23
First time we have been in this pub. As we went in the bar was full of pints of all kinds. We asked for one of the real ales, and was told to take one off the bar, they are all free said the bar person! Said it was pipe cleaning day, which it was. All the beers were very good and the locals were chatty and friendly. Seems like a decent place, and busy during the week. food looked very good and reasonably priced, toilets clean seating ok, no beer garden but so what. A clean and tidy place and not too posh. Well worth a visit, enjoy the friendly atmosphere. Recommended. Town centre location. Pipe cleaning on wednesday. noggin46 - 1 May 2011 19:07
It will do, food's OK. Pity there's no outside, because then we get the smokers congregating outside the main front door as is the norm now for many pubs. swannyman - 9 Apr 2011 09:26
