The Dukes Head, Leatherhead

I can honestly say this was the first Deliverance tribute night I've ever been to. Don't think I'll be going again mind you. Makes the Wetherspoon's across the road look like Claridges.

The Victoria, Surbiton

Blimey! A decent refurb that hasn't destroyed the "lived in" character of this pub.Beer is still a tad pricey but better to spend a few pence more in here than to save money in Wetherspoon microwave menu hell eh? Nice to go to a boozer that serves decent beer and grub but doesn't have the smug air of "the gastropub" about it.

The Crystal Palace, Tunbridge Wells

Came here out of desperation really as it was the only pub in T.W. showing the Chelsea game. Glad I did!Small and so a tad crowded this was nevertheless a pleasant little pub with good Sussex ales and (at the time) a skull splitting Christmas ale which I didn't have the guts to try. Don't be put off by the regulars, they get friendlier as the evening goes on and the staff are very welcoming.

The Antelope, Surbiton

I agree wholeheartedly with Grout, although I would plump for the excellent London Pride on offer. And try and get some Ramones tracks on the jukebox. Staff always friendly, really good beers and it's never 15 deep at the bar. A gem.
