The Halfway Inn, Corfe Castle

Booked a table of ten people for 6.30pm for a family celebration, finally got to eat at 8.30 after sitting outside in the cold. Food when it eventually came was terrrible, lamb shank swimming in slimy cold gravy, vegetables cold, all of the meat dishes were cool or cold . . . truely poor. Got a part refund on some of the food but really I should have refused to pay and should have called in the trading standards as this food should not have been served.

The Eagle, Cambridge

Great Ale Pie and good beer make for a superb combination. Crowded but not crushed. Interesting history makes for plenty of chat. Staff friendly & helpful. Quck service. A lovely pub.

The Anchor, Cambridge

Full of character with different levels & bars with views of the river. The food was good, plenty of it. good beer, fair choice of wine. Staff friendly & helpful. Not crowded on a sunny Saturday afternoon in October.

All Bar One, Cambridge

Food took 45 minutes to arrive and was awful. Its mainly glorified hamburgers which were dry in faliing apart buns, sparse salads surrounded by small rancid fries. Truly Awful. Whoever manages this branch should be ashamed.

Ye Olde Greene Manne, Rickmansworth

Bar is on the smoking side which has bad extraction so gets fuggy. Nooks & Crannies with 3 open fires in different areas and the purposely homey feel with odd furniture make this a decent chain pub. Can't vouch for food but changing guest beers add interest. Low or no piped music allows conversation. Staff very friendly & helpful.
