The Four Horseshoes, Long Sutton

Complete gem of a pub. Cosy interior with two open fires on the go when we visited, lots of trinkets scattered around, friendly owners and locals. Very genuine.
Had a pint of Yumi and half a Pride and Joy - very well kept and best real ale I've had in ages.
Had a good chat with everyone in there and got to meat Harry the Dalmatian, who is a big softy and lovely.
Trust me, you can ignore the negative comments that were made back in 2007 - obviously made by those who look down their nose at others, this pub is not for the likes of them - we'll keep it to ourselves!
Looking forward to our next visit.

The Portland Arms, St Albans

Came here on the Abbey flyer Rail Ale Trail. Been a good few years since I've been to this pub. Absolutely fantastic: warm, welcoming and well-kept real ale. Got speaking to the landlady who has been there for a few months now and she was really friendly. The best pub on our trip, cannot fault it.

The Slug and Lettuce, Farnham

I often go in the Slug and pretty much every time they manage to annoy me in some way or another. This last Saturday night was no exception. I came in with a work Xmas party and to be fair there were a fair few people that had had a drink. However, when I went to the bar they refused to serve me as I was "too intoxicated". This was absolutely ridiculous and I was certainly not that bad. Three others of my party received the same treatment seemingly picked at random (funny how none of the girls got kicked out eh?). We were not rowdy, we were not rude we were just enjoying our time and it was completely unnecessary. I was simply sitting down enjoying a pint chatting to my friends. The only good point I can say about this pub is that the quality of real ale was very good. I just wish a little intelligence would be used to find those that genuinely would cause problems. I will not go back and neither will any of my party. Terrible terrible service.

The Griffin, Witney

Went here yesterday for a Sunday roast and a pint. Although there was only a choice of Beef and Lamb, I had the lamb and it was delicious. The pub prides themselves on their real mash (not Smash) and rightly so. Also had a nice pint of St. George and the Dragon. Extremely friendly landlord.

The Waverley Arms, Farnham

This pub has completely turned itself around since it got taken over in late 2009. I went there last night with the family as they have started doing food. What can I say? Well it was excellent, the selection is well thought through, not just your standard dishes. Starter, main and dessert all delicious. The staff were very friendly and the service was great. There were two ales on pump at time of visiting; Hogs Back TEA and Ringwood Best (I had the Best and it was in good condition).
All in all, it was a great night and will be going back soon. Places like this need support!

The Vic Bar, Fleetwood

Went here a couple of Sundays ago for my second visit. The two staff members that I encountered were really friendly and the pint of Reverend James I had was delicious and very well kept. Didn't get the chance to try the food so can't vouch for taste, but the couple next to us had some and the portions looked generous. I love the location of this pub where you can just sit and watch the trams go past

Marine Hall, Fleetwood

I hadn't been to this pub before the refurbishment. Reading the comments below and not being from the area I kept an open mind when I went last Saturday night. It was indeed quiet to begin with but the place started to liven up a bit later on. I personally didn't mind the decor at all and thought the place looked pretty immaculate without being sterile. Give it time to be lived in a bit and I'm sure it will have character. The bar staff seemed friendly and the pints of Lytham Cunning Stunt were delicious and well kept, despite the place being open three days a week. Really not that bad!

The Speckled Hen, St Albans

Thought the previous reviews were a tad harsh but then I don't have kids. Went here last night for a quick drink. Had a couple of pints of "Flanker's Tackle", the Greene King guest beer at this present time, which was in good condition. Good selection of board games and we unexpectedly stumbled upon the music quiz, which I would recommend! Not a bad pub at all.

The King William IV, Shenley

Nice local pub. Went there for a quick couple of pints tonight while on a Shenley/Radlett crawl. Was met with friendly bar staff. Good selection of tunes on the jukebox, plus pool and darts.

The Steamer, Fleetwood

Popped into this pub whilst on a pub crawl in Fleetwood. Nice cosy atmosphere (with xmas decorations) and friendly staff. Best pub we visited in Fleetwood.

The Hop Blossom, Farnham

Probably one of the best pubs in Farnham if not the best. Excellent selection of beers and lagers. Friendly staff, cosy atmosphere (especially in the winter). Great boozer!

The Duke of Cambridge, Farnham

I really miss this pub, good beer, good atmosphere, friendly staff. Was just another victim of the pubs converted to restaurants craze.
