The Filo (First In Last Out), Hastings

This was my local when I lived in Hastings. Definitely the best pub in the old town. When I visit occasionally I have the Crofters which is always on top form.

Ye Olde White Horse, Spalding

Loved this pub when I was a kid! My aunt and uncle run it for 25+ years. Was back recently and the old place has not changed much. A good solid local with friendly folks.

The Britannia, Barking

Another good pub bites the dust. I fear that more and more of these old establishments will disappear due to government policies and more significantly the potential clientele (or lack of) in the pubs locale. God bless "The Brittania" and all who drunk in her!

Cricketers Arms, Ockley

Lovely old village pub, a dying breed in my opinion.
Remember seeing Oliver Reed in here on several occasions many years ago. Recommended.

Dignity (Taylors of Finchley), Finchley

This pub used to be called "The Old King of Prussia" when I used it as my local in the 70's. I must go back sometime! sounds as good now as it was then.

The Salisbury, Leicester Square

I have been using this fine pub for around 35 years when visiting London. It has not really changed much apart from the landlords/landladies. This pub used to be Michael Caines local years ago.

The Lamb and Flag, Covent Garden

Having recently returned from Nigeria, I too was verbally insulted by the "non witty northerner" He called me a "sweaty sock" and all manner of names!PC rules! Its a good job I know him! Best pub in Covent Garden.

The Britannia, Barking

Visited this pub on many occasions over the years. Great Youngs beers. Family run, friendly staff. Its a shame that the locals are not drinkers! otherwise this little gem would be a lot busier. Best in Barking!
