A traditional if slightly unfriendly boozer. Good youngs beer but very pricey. Nice rear garden for smoking. I personally think the spreadeagle is the best bar in the centre of croydon although yet again not exactly welcoming to strangers.

Been here a couple of times (usually half pissed at the time) and never experienced any problems. A worthy competitor to the JD Wetherspoon pubs close by.

The Porter and Sorter, Croydon
Been coming here since the late 80s and it has grown significantly in that time. Service can be slow but has an excellent outside space for smoking and watching the stressed out commuters on their way home while supping on a pint of amber nectar! Should not be demolished to make way for another empty office development.

Nice large pub with the added advantage of a beer garden. Lager quite pricey for the area. The pub is missing something though...

Good pint and excellent cabaret paricularly the lady who plays piano on a Monday night. No more lecherous than any other soho bar. Recommend it for both straight and gay friends.

The New Forest Cider Trailer, Borough Market
great cider at this bar served by delightful bar staff. Try the Ostrich burgers next door as well.

The Spread Eagle, Croydon
Fine pint of ESB and other Fullers ales. Nice outside space for people watching and smoking. Probably the best pub in central croydon for a quick pint.
