Spin Bar, Reading

best place in reading for a late beer and a dance.

The Gig House, Wokingham

You have to love the Gig house for absorbing all the trash and saving the rest of town for everyone else!

The New Rose, Wokingham

Closed down and is now a cafe rouge, a sad end to a pub I remember going to as a boy with my dad, packet of crisps and a bottle of coke!

Broad Street Tavern, Wokingham

Nice pub, good beer, shame about the Landlord. I used to drink in here quite often until for some reason unbeknown to me I fell out of favour with the landlord. I was still serverd but would have to wait until everyone else at the bar had been even if I had been waiting longer and all the friendly banter had gone? Talking to other Wokingham people I'm not the first or last to have been treated this way. It's a shame as it's a lovely pub with a great garden, I won't be going back for some time.

Molly's Millars, Wokingham

The Molly's has it's good and bad points. If you want a quiet pint during the day while watching the cricket or any sport it's great, also if you fancy a couple of pints after work in the sunshine watching the world go by it's good too. But as the evening goes on especially at the weekend things do go a bit school disco!
Still it does serve a cheap pint and it has more tv's than most of the other pubs in wokingham put together, which makes it my choice for watching the champions league while playing a game of pool. I haven't tried the food since the management has changed but it used to be awful.

The Queens Head, Wokingham

This is a proper pub. there aren't many left in wokingham and it's good to see nothing has changed since the change in Landlord. My only gripe would be that it's a little tough on the pocket, but you pay for what you get, a warm welcome and a good pint.

The Hope and Anchor, Wokingham

Things have really improved recently in the Hope.
It's under new management and I think he has really turned it around.
There is live music at the weekend, which has been pulling in a big and varied croud of friendly local faces. The other weekend I bumped in to several peaple I haven't seen in town for a long time. It's good to see the Hope back on it's feet and to have live music back in Wokingham on a regular basis.
Very pleased.
