The Glen Isle Inn, Palnackie

A Cold place for a welcome..I has the misfortune to be in on a Friday night when there was a "happy hour" with a free ticket with every pint--6 tickets =1 free pint!!
A young man was sleeping it off with his head in hands and it was ONLY 7.30 pm..
Dalbeatie offers better pubs

Happy days in here when we sanf folk songs in the back room(think they have moved to the Nursery)..Camerons is not to everybodies taste..but this is a REAL pub..a place where you can enjoy a drink...

The Cactus Jacks, Hartlepool

the place is where you go to throw "happy hour" firewater down your gullet.

If the sight of 18-30 drinkers on a night out throwing such stuff down your neck to the amusement of all,and knowing that many do not turn out for work the next day...then this si the place for you

The Lochranza Hotel, Lochranza

Stayed there a good few years ago before the distillary was built and LOVED it.

Scenery is breath taking and a good hotel with a good bar..

Wetherspoons, Victoria Station

Affordable and as mentioned not a place to go and enkoy a quiet drink, but there again Victoria station is not known for its quietness.

Food reasonably priced and beer too.

As always there is the "caberet" by the token drunken scot who will engage you in conversation andthe ask you for 2 for "a DRANK"...

Best avoid when football fans are returning though..
