"Progress" should be banned in pub interiors. Should be called "The Defra Arms". While Britain's farmers are out growing barley, Defra staff are in the Marquis drinking the end result!

Vast improvement on previous incarnation. Best place in the area by miles.

Staff frequently have no interest in serving you if you are not Sith Ifrican or a Kiwi. Beer can be very dodgy at times. Besides that, it's a great place!

Walkers of Whitehall, Whitehall
Used to be great place, has gone both upmarket and downhill at the same time in the last year. Pricing themselves out of good and regular custom when there are so many viable alternatives nearby.

Nice enough pub, gaffer's a good bloke and the staff are all very friendly. Useless gig venue though - down in the pit makes it very dificult to enjoy the bands.

Spent 20 years of my life in here. A superb pub, something for everyone.
