Awaiting a new Landlord. The company that owns this pub haven't spent much on maintenance over the years. On the positive side, the selection of real ales is good and normally in good condition.

This pub is under new management as of October 2006 and is being run by the same team which previously ran The Craster Arms in Beadnell. Food is consistent and the formula followed at the Craster has transferred successfully to the Castle

Working in Bristol for a few months and have to say this is one of the best pubs I have ever visited.
