The Robert Browning, Maida Vale

After a walk along the canal nearby on a cold frosty winters morning, a welcome well-kept pint of Sam Smith's in front of a roaring fire certainly hit the spot. The pub seems to have changed staff about nine months ago and the pleasant and helpful bar staff certainly made the visit enjoyable. The area is a bit chi-chi but the food was standard fare pub food and none the worse for that. We had sandwiches/bagettes, but they didn't appear on the menu for some reason. Our only negative was that vegetarians might have felt shortchanged by the standard of the quiche - it was a bit meh.
Don't go looking for the Robert Browning anymore the name has changed to the Eagle.

The New Inn, Ham

Excellent food if a bit pricey. Quiet but popular. Good to have no music.

The Hare and Hounds, Old Warden

Agree more of a food pub, but what excellent food. Best Steak and Kidney pie I've had in years. Would go well out of the way to eat/drink here
