I had a good night in here last night - fine range of beers, had atmosphere but could get a seat, TV and music there but not intrusive, courteous staff.

Always an excellent range of real ales in here, pleasant clientele, comfortable.

Many's the time I've been here - the staff have always been civil and helpful, it always feels lived in and you get a good range of pints and some tasty food.

The Queen Adelaide, Wandsworth
Well I have to say I disagree with some of the recent posters - previously just a rather boring boozer with dreary decor, it's still a proper pub, but has become much lighter, brighter and more tasteful place to go.

This pub has beautiful internal architecture and features, but is always undersubscribed when I've been in there, in particular the back bar is almost always nearly empty. As I wouldn't want to see it becoming something totally different, maybe they need to promote themselves a bit more, have events like music in the back bar etc.

I got a large number of people in for a birthday do last Saturday. With two days notice the bar manager agreed to hive off the family area for me when the families had finished for the evening, which meant I had that part from about 9pm onwards, which certainly helped. They managed the tab well, and people had a good time, so well done the Penderel's - the staff seem like a good team.

The Castle, Tooting Broadway
I held a party in the Castle's function room last night. They did a good buffet and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, so well done to the Castle and their staff.
