Best pub in the area (The Old Monk aside).
Only criticism is that it is either stupidly cold or feverishly hot.
Mark Knopfler used to drink here in his younger days so it deserves kudos for that if nothing else.

The Garrick Arms, Trafalgar Square
Been in worse pubs but to wait an hour for a burger and a ploughmans when the pub isn't even that busy is a little hard to stomach.
Good wine/beer selections, but the food service needs to be looked at.

Walked in to find next to no seating and the two barmen behind the jump arguing.
Waited around 5 mins at the bar whilst they finished their argument, one stormed off and the other made a telephone call to then be told that they only had 4 bottle sof wine left.
Keep walking.....dump of a pub with truly shocking service/facilities.....

If a variety of beers and bar staff flaunting their homosexuality is up your street, go here!
Easy to get served, decent beer and bar staff serving up a non-stop carnival of sexual innuendos ("this stiff pump is dripping everywhere", for example).
Special mention goes to the black female barmaid who happily plays with her two prize assets at every given opportunity.
Well worth a visit.....

The Feathers, St James's
Was in here recently (against my better judgment!) and was amazed to see Paul Weller propping up the bar downing Turbo Shandys (pints of lager with a shot of vodka in them).
Not the greatest...in fact it's dump so give it a swerve....
