Old Plough Inn, Shortlanesend

Super value Sunday lunch though a bit limited. Generally only Beef or Lamb so non red meat eaters are out of luck. Can't help thinking they're missing a trick there.

The River Bank, Truro

Now reborn as The Cuckoo. Seriously!
An alchopop drinkers den from all appearances though if it's quiet it's pleasant enough decor to relax in.

The Old Ale House, Truro

Super beer selection and good friendly service.
A cool bit of Jazz being played one evening when we were there. Good volume but OK to carry on a conversation as well.
Might loose a little atmosphere on Jazz nights when the smoking ban comes in but I'm still looking forward to smoke free to be honest.

Heron Inn, Malpas

Had a very nice lunch on a weekday. Clearly popular with the suits form Truro.
Food was well prepared and tasty. Would wager not all prepared from scratch but the buyer is doing their job quite well.
Staff we very pleasant and if you're running a tab on a card they have a neat card safe system rather than sticking it in a glass. Quite reassuring.
(potato wedges were super)

The Driftwood Spars Hotel, St Agnes

Had a nice lunch in the main bar.
Nice atmosphere and cosy feeling.
Well kept Skinners washed the food down nicely. A little soulless in the upper bar if it's quite and the bar is closed and they haven't lit any of the fires!
