The Robert Peel, Kingston Upon Thames

I used to drink here every friday when Rock was rock but now I feel old in there at 30. can't have a conversation at the bar as all the people with anything to say have moved on to oth er places and it's always full of kids. You don't have to be under 18 to be classed classed as a kid if your'e misbehaving after one sniff of the barmaids apron. Anyway as for plastic glasses I resent having to drink out of as I've never broken a glass in there in my life. I was well respected and new all the staff well, had done for years. Yes it does make the beer taste funny and the staff should use discretion when serving beer in plastic glasses as some people just don't like it. If they think people are going to do naughty things with them then give them plastic. Leave the glasses for serious sensible people. And yes I am perfectly well awre of the increased safety implications of plastic in the right hands not glass in the wrong hands. Barstaff Woodstock. Emma, Sam and Eric are the best in the area visit the pube if you are over 21 if there are enough of the right age group the kids and glass breaking idiots may just move on Leaving it for proper sensibl edrinkers like us who just want a good night out listening to some REAL Rock music not the nu metal rubbish perpetuated in there these days. If the peel wants to whack it's profits back up it should start catering to the proper drinkers again not the kids and students who sit there nursing the same half of lager all night between three of them making a nuisance of themselves and spoiling what could be a Rockin good night out for others. Nuff Said!

The Half Moon, Putney

The berr is good and they have live music. These are the only good points about this pub I suppose thats all you need but i have to say the asst manager is the rudest most miseable git it has ever been my misfortune to come across. Go there but don't attempt to talk to the staff for they will treat you with the contempt they deserve in most casaes. Insulting.

The Dukes Head, Putney

I practically bgan my drinking career here at the tender age of 16. Every time I am back in London I pop in wher i get a warm welcome from the staff who know me. The locals are friendly and talkative. Quite simply the best place on the planet to watch a chelsea match apart from stamford bridge itself. The beer is of a consistently good quality which they are happy to change if you ever get a dody pint but the food is hideously overpriced for what it is. great location and nice near the river. The locals of which i still like to think of myself as one are friendly and talkative. Barmaid of the year hands down is the gorgeous sarah. Only real downside is the price of the beer and also the manager Malcom being South African that is almost all he will employ. he also has no personality and is a miserable and surly git. However the Pub has kept its charachter and it's nice to drink in a proper pub. Just star charging less for the beer.
