Despite pronouncing 'cask conditioned ales' on the boarding outside the pub, there wasn't any on sale. Bar staff confirmed this when I queried why the pump clip was turned round. Poor show.

The only cask beer on offer was disgusting - (Caledonian 80/-), place was dead. Friend I was with told me it used to be thriving.
Probably not helped by the 'hyper' landlord (seems to be the same guy who runs the nearby Yew Tree). No real ale there either. Shame.

Pub still 'tinned up'. Could be a cracking cask beer outlet with the right management. Prime location...
