The Sussex Arms, Twickenham

this pub is NOT A WINE BAR!! site manager PLEASE correct the reference..

This pub is the only local AFAIK that has up to TWENTY different ales on tap at one time, also cider and perry..

The only 'complaint' is that they change the whole 'line up ' too often...

The Cabbage Patch, Twickenham

Cleversaz: you cant blame them for putting on prices that people WILL pay!!! :D

I am one of the poor residents, living just behind this pub!! - and on match days, it is the MOST crowded!! - So I think the reason for the high price may be to either KEEP AWAY people, or to ensure massive stocks of beer, with the financial overhead this needs... I dont go there much, I prefer the riverside pubs..

Another pub even closer to the match is the 'rugby tavern'(see it entry for more..) now refurbised and called 'Garryowen' - they are expensive too....

If you look closer at the facilities these pubs offer, you will see why they are more popular to not just match goers, but also concert goers!

The Cardinal Wolsey, Hampton Court

glad to see the website up, and the "Opening Evening Night Special" was great for bringing customers, only trouble was there were TOO many!! :) :) :)
- so I had to get a pint elswhere :(

anyhow, went back at 1130, managed to get in!! :) still a great selection of beers, not any big changes - happy to see you kept to its winning formula!!

Just one small thing about the website - can you please add the website of each of the bands? - this was a feature that really helped follow them!

cheers! :)

The Misty Moon, Twickenham

Truth is, ALL pubs are suffering... income from rugby fans at least keep most going, and as only cabbage pach gets more custom, I dont see the moon having any problems... and off season I am sure most would prefer the cozy setting, compared to the fairly rough ones next door...

There are lots of other pubs only yards away for those with other tastes...
