Pleasant enough, though bland and uninspiring. Looked like an 80's throwback.
Nothing wrong with it though.

Always a great selection of ales, always good service, always feel welcome.
And the pork scratchings are unbelievable.

Agree with the previous few comments re. service. Abysmal. Bar staff seem to be more interested in posing than serving.
e.g... I spotted someone walking into the bar as I was waiting to be served - only to be told they'd been waiting longer than me by the incompetent staff!
More a 'bar' than a pub - used to enjoy going here. Thinking about it, I did wonder why it seemed a lot less busy than I'd previously experienced - now I know why!
Find a proper pub somewhere nearby - I will from now on...

Maybe I caught them off guard...
Run-down, grubby, food on carpet, beer just OK with no great selection.
Surly service.
We left ASAP to go up the road to the Water Witch - much better experience!
