this pub used to be a grat place to take kids in summer, but since refurbishment no kids facilities at all, very disappointed and won't be doing back this summer.

The Strawberry Fields, Shirley

contrary to the opening hours displayed in the window, this place shuts in the afternoon so don't get too settled as you will be asked to leave!

The Plume of Feathers, Shirley

this is the friendliest pub in the area, both staff and customers. nice pint, good cheap carvery, contrary to what enjoysapint says, lager louts not tolerated! professionally run, this is a real community pub that welcomes locals and visitors alike, only negative thing is sky sports has gone.
