If you can imagine drinking a pint in some very long and winding corridors or a maze then you can picture this odd bar. Ok for a quiet one but not exactly sociable as you can't even see anyone else in there, let alone talk to them

Can't understand how this picture postcard pub was allowed to become a thai restauarant and it really is not a pub anymore. They want you out of the bar and in the restaurant (or up the street) and as such, a little uncomfortable and pricey. Great food though

Refurbished in the last year or so to get rid of the old college common room atmosphere. Fantastic food...seriously good so come back, you won't be disappointed

Cracking old fashioned pub with mainly friendly folk and the best boozer in a town of 'trendy' (see poncy) wine bars with pretentious dress codes etc etc. good work fellas

Great village pub especially during the week when its quieter. Busy when sports are on. Yummy bar staff compliment further. No phone reception so ideal for a sneaky one...

The Crown and Anchor, Brighton
stopped for a quick one after a rainy first half watching the seagulls. They have Guess Who the board game...awesome just for that! Nice pub, heard good things

Good old fashioned boozer. Friendly staff and good beer. Nothing to wrtite home about apart from that but a good quality proper pub.

10 times better looking than when it was my local, the Rutland. Let down by incredibly rude staff who can bearly tear themselves away from their friends to serve you and then go back to them so quickly that they forget to give you change (twice) and put it into a glass behind the bar! Quite unbeleivable. And this has happened more than once.

The Bent Arms, Lindfield
Sunday lunch there this weekend and the first time I have eaten although stop regularly for a swift pint on the way home! Nice, relaxed atmosphere and fantastic food. Looks like it might serve you well to get there early and full compliments to the friendly team too.
