What a horrendous little place. Awful atmosphere, incompetent staff. Was not in the least bit cosy.

Ive been going to bar nun, previously the priory, now for the last 3-4 years maybe longer. In the past it wasn't the greatest drinking establishment admittedly, but things are picking up. Every friday night there is live bands...quality live bands. Also just recently started, every saturday night is a resident d.j. The lighting, effects and big music screen gives it something different you wouldn't find anywhere else in the area. There's plenty of room not like your orange square or evo for example. The beers good, drinks are cheap...happy hour monday to friday between 4 and half 6. Things are looking up for bar nun. Everyone just needs to give it a chance cause there's gonna be alot happening in the forseable future.

If you can imagine drinking a pint in some very long and winding corridors or a maze then you can picture this odd bar. Ok for a quiet one but not exactly sociable as you can't even see anyone else in there, let alone talk to them

I usually expect any venue with 'Bar' in the title to be just another modern, overpriced, noisy, soul-less box full of people who don't know any better. Imagine my surprise upon entering and finding Harveys on sale along with Abbot Ale. And a very fine pint of Harveys it was too at a fairly reasonable £2.50. This place is fitted with wooden tables and actually has a bit of character. There is a pool table at 50p a game!!!, and a seperate room with a big screen showing football.
Don't get me wrong, it's not a great pub. It's just a lot better than most places in this area.
