It is true that after winging about the lack of entertainment on my last comment, i did miss the musician last saturday but i was there a few weeks ago for an excelent karaoke session. (chris82 aka mummas boy, didn't sing hehehe!)

After moving here from London, i struggled to find any local pubs that were welcoming, untill i went in here. The staff were polite and friendly and remembered what drink i was having even when i went back two weeks later.
Every time i have visited this pub, i have ended up in conversation with many other of the locals (something i have never done in London).
Although i have never visited this pub on a friday, i can highly recommened it for a quiet drink on a saturday.
My only problem with this pub is the lack of entertainment on a saturday. It could do with a disco evry now and then.

The Sandmartin, Chafford Hundred
nice pub. very blokey. worth checking out on a thursday if you like karaoke.
